At B1 or B2, choose a French podcast you can follow well enough to stay interested, with some unfamiliar words to work on. You do not have to abandon learner-oriented audio as soon as you reach an intermediate level.

A Practical Listening Routine
- Pick a short episode or a five-minute passage on a familiar subject.
- Listen once for the main idea without pausing.
- Listen again and note a few recurring words or one unclear sentence.
- Check a transcript when available, or the episode notes and a dictionary.
- Explain the main point aloud in French, then revisit the passage another day.
